Barcelona defender, Dani Alves, has expressed his admiration for teammate Lionel Messi and has claimed that the Argentine is well capable of winning the Ballon d’Or again.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 international was not short of praise for his comrade and insisted that Messi will win the prestigious award in the coming seasons.
The Barca number 2 stated that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 is far superior to other players at the moment and should have no trouble winning the Ballon d’Or in the future.
Alves remarked that Messi was nothing like the ordinary and admired his skill on the ball.
He commented that it is important for the authorities to award different prizes to players in different positions otherwise the Argentine would win all of them.
Messi, who has been the winner of the Ballon d’Or in the last three years consecutively, has been performing tremendously this season too.
The 24-year-old has received worldwide appreciation for the way he has performed for La Blaugrana and is believed to be the best footballer on the planet at the moment.
While talking about Messi, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dani-Alves-c9869 told Catalunya Radio:
"If nothing out of the ordinary happens, Messi will win the Ballon d'Or in the next three or four years. That's why I would hand out different awards for the different positions, because otherwise Messi will always be the winner."
The Brazilian then voiced his opinion regarding Pep Guardiola’s future as the head coach of the current Spanish champions. He insisted that the Spanish tactician has a massive role to play at the Nou Camp.
Alves heaped praise over Guardiola and maintained that he is the main driving force behind La Blaugrana’s hunger for more success.
"It's hard for people to understand that it's not easy to remain hungry for more success. Guardiola has been absolutely vital for this team," he stated.
Barcelona’s next opponents are Sevilla as they travel away from home to play out their next Spanish La Liga fixture on Saturday.
