HOW many blocks (sreet blocks) does it take to walk 1 mile?

Or one miles = How many blocks (street blocks)

  1. It depends on the city (and sometimes differs within a city).  10-12 blocks to a mile is not uncommon for a dense grid system in a big city.  In the suburbs, things are more spread out.
