Mesut Ozil's father unhappy with Real Madrid treatment of his son – La Liga News
Father of Real Madrid playmaker, Mesut Ozil, is unhappy with the treatment he receives in the Spanish capital. Mustafa Ozil maintains that his son has yet to reach his full potential at Santiago Bernabéu and he has more room for development as a professional
footballer.
Real Madrid are in the heat once again, however, this time it is coming from a source not known for public expression, Mesut Ozil. The modest attacking midfielder’s father is unhappy with the treatment being dished out to his son, and let his voice be heard.
While talking to German newspaper, Welt am Sonntag, Mustafa Ozil was at hand to comment about his son. He stated that he has yet to realize his full potential and should not be tagged as a polished product.
The concerned father pointed towards the treatment Barcelona number 10, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296, receives from his team in general. He said that everyone in the Catalan team works for the prodigal Argentine while the same cannot be said for the German international.
"Look how they play at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604. There 10 players working for Messi. At Real Madrid, Mesut is also the number 10, but others do not work for him." Mustafa Ozil pointed out.
Continuing on the matter, Ozil senior called for his son to be the centre of the team’s activities if he has to realize his full potential.
He also pointed out his son’s in-exhaustive work rate. The German international runs between 12-14 miles every game as he collects the ball from deep midfield positions and distributes to the front three.
Ozil Mustafa claimed: "he runs between 12 and 14 miles per game, collects the ball and distributes from behind to the front. This requires much expenditure of energy."
This was a joint interview in which the younger Ozil was also present. He was at hand to discuss Germany’s next game with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Turkey-c3026, the country of his parent’s birthplace.
"It's a special game. There will be a great atmosphere and it will be difficult to win there, but I hope we do it," he said.
The Real Madrid ace could have chosen to represent the Turks but favoured Die Mannschaft instead.
