  1. 5 years ago we had an unbelievable hot summer even the UK had temps of 30 c here on the Costa Blanca we had temps that reached 52c it was unbearable for two months and many lives were lost I really really hope we don't have another like that one, l  can only hope the met office are slightly wrong as usual.

  2. Yeah? Er, lived in a town that flooded annually when I was a kid, me great aunt used to move everything upstairs once a year for a couple of months. Nothing changes, this has been happening for years, but should really not build houses on natural flood plains and are you sure a heatwave killed 15,000 french? Missed that then....er, don't go to Athens in august, though cos that may do for yer, honest..

  3. The climate here in UK [the Island of Britain] is as it always has been.  Rain, storms, floods, earthquakes, baking hot desert sun, frequent showers in the months of June, July and August.  Heatwaves when you least expect them in silly months such as Octember and so forth.  Warm mild Christmases.  Freezing cold start to Spring with snow.

    Usual thing then. . . .!

And no, I do not believe any weather forecast, especially one issued by tye Met-Office.  Here is a famous Met-Office civil servant giving us the forecast on the BBC the night before the raging storm which totally destroyed a million trees in the London are alone and God alone knows what damage elsewhere.

My advice is just be prepared for the worst.  If anyone is unfortunate enough to be living in a flood plain which has not flooded for a century or so, please be advised that the river near you will eventually burst it's banks.  It will do this without warning in the middle of the night.

BEWARE - Britain has some of the most shocking weather in all of Europe.

I know, because I was there.  In the 1950s floods in East Anglia, whole towns and villages were left to their fate.  Who knows how many drowned or were simply washed out to sea.
