Metabolism questions?

for instance if i raise my caloric intake to 2,200 calories a day, i know i will initially gain weight, but will my metabolism eventually rise to meet this or will i gain weight forever or just at first?

will it ever stabilize? if so, how long until then?

  1. right  your body will rise its metabolism as you take more calories ,but that will not be forever  ,it will stop at a specific level depend on the type of food   you eat  


  2. Depends upon how much damage you have done to your metabolism via yo-yo dieting or extreme calorie cutting. Start slowly. If you are on 1000 calories per day, add 300 per day for the first week and then another 300 etc. The key to metabolism is to increase your lean muscle mass. You do this via resistance training. Another healthy boost to metabolism is to trick the body into thinking there is food surplus by eating six meals per day.
