How sensitive are the metal detectors at the Airports? Will my tounge ring set it off?

  1. The underwire in my bra set it off.  Bad experience.  That was at Dallas or Atlanta... I can not recall which. Good Luck


  2. Some of them are more sensitive than others.  I've noticed I can't get through DFW with my watch or belt on, when I have no problems at all/most other airports.  However, at DFW I don't have problems with my belly button ring...so you should be ok.  If it does goes off, then they will just use a metal detector wand over you...no big deal.
