Metal Gear creator teases new Metal Gear Solid game trailer – Gaming news
Creator of the popular Metal Gear Solid franchise, Hideo Kojima, has teased a new Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain trailer.
Rather than waiting for the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) to treat the fans of the action-adventure stealth video game series to the much-awaited news on the development of the latest game, the industry veteran revealed on
Twitter that he has been working on a new trailer for the sequel.
He further added that the core theme of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid title will become clear to those who pay close attention to the new trailer.
"The trailer I'm working on, you can get to know the theme if you follow the title, text, lines, lyrics, and key art," Kojima said.
Unlike the previous titles, Kojima said that the new trailer will feature more of Metal Gear Solid V’s gameplay elements and lesser explosions and destruction.
"Trailers these days has lots of explosion, crash, destruction, and fall. I intentionally avoid those elements in my next trailer," revealed the series creator.
Kojima further went on to concede that developing the new Metal Gear Solid trailer turned out to be quite time-consuming, as it involved the integration of numerous gameplay scenes, along with recording and editing.
The new Metal Gear Solid V trailer is expected to make its debut at a special Konami press conference, which is scheduled to take place at 10 am on June 6.
The next Metal Gear Solid game is still in the early stages of development, with neither Kojima nor Konami revealing anything about the possible release date or the platforms that the game will be heading to.
It has been confirmed by Kojima that Metal Gear Solid V will be split into two games, namely Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, which will serve as the 10th and 11th
instalment in the series.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will serve as a sequel to Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and prologue to Metal Gear V: The Phantom Pains.
Both the upcoming games will feature Big Boss as the protagonist.
