  1. Putting anything metalic in a microwave will cause an explosion.

  2. The microwaves are normally reflected from metal objects but can induce currents in smaller parts  ..this can cause arcing between the object(s) and the sides of the oven ..

The sudden arc discharges can cause RCD and ELCD breakers to trip . it is also possible that a metal object may cause sufficient energy to be reflected back into the microwave emitter to damage it. ..

  3. I used a dish that had a line of metal around.

    it sparkles

  4. If you put anything metallic in a microwave, you might cause an explosion and if it the object is just a little large, it could be a really bad explosion. My advice to you is, don't try it.

  5. Um... yeah! Having a head cold makes my brain fuzzy and I once left the fork on the dish when I went to put it in the microwave. It made a god awful noise and there are a lot of sparks. Luckily I was standing right there and stopped the microwave a few seconds into it. I imagine it would have really damaged the microwave had I walked away and not noticed. Maybe it could have even started a fire, I don't know. All I know is that I know not to forget about the fork again!

  6. you'll see electricity jumping across the surface and to the edge of the microwave and it snicks and cracks, looks realy cool but will most likely break your microwave.
