Metal gear movie????

is there gonna be a metal gear movie????? i hope so cuase it would be kick @$$!! it wouldent be to hard to write, since the series was like 60% videos. i mean, they made the tombraider movies, but metal gear would be a much better movie, it has a better story thn any movie book or video game i ever seen read or played. so is there gonna be a movie or no?

Well, its slated to come out 2nd or 34d quarter 09, and theres no word of cancellation...

besides, didt u guys hear? theres like 4 or 5 other games that being bade into movies icluding:

Max Payne (or Paine?), God of War, Halo,and a few others i dont remember, maybe only a couple others

There could be. These things take time and there's always the chance of it being cancelled.

Doubtful, to be honest. Do you know how long it would have to be to encompass the entire Metal Gear franchise? They would have to split it into four or five films. (Just for the Metal gear SOLID series) and honestly, it would make a boring movie. The game is tactical; It's stealth. Not action-focused. There would be numerous scenes involving snake waiting for a guard to pass by while in a locker. Or creeping around in a cardboard box. Not to mention, the vast majority of the audience wouldn't understand the plot. It wouldn't have a large audience.
