  1. Need to know what the city code requires'

  2. Use EMT. It's easy.

  3. EMT is my choice. It looks good, is easy to put in place. Will not burn, provides a ground path and resists nail piercing. I would never use PVC conduit or for that matter plastic for water piping etc.

  4. in the attic you have to snake it around in tight corner. i would use bx armored cable, cheaper and easier to install easier to cut and ground.

bx is a trade name for aluminum interlocked cable. just tell them bx, the store knows about it. in industrial they used armored cable with pvc jacket, for residential, used bx armored cable without pvc jacket. in the attic try to use 90C, if not available use 75C is good enough.

  5. If it was in my own house, I would use EMT.It looks better, cheaper, and easy to lay out and pull wire.

Why would you get it inspected if it's your own house though?
