I have heard metalized can interfere with satellite radio and radar detectors... is this true? Also, what brands would you recomend? I have a radar detector and if the metalized interferes I don't want it, so which brand is best for non-metalized black tinted windows? Thanks

  1. Yes metal films do interfere with radio frequency and Satellite Radio signals, GPS Bluetooth and radar detectors. .but. .that is also an issue of your car's antenna system. Check owners manual.

For non interfering window films the best choice in heat rejection is FormulaOne Pinnacle Film (62%) see http://www.formulaone.com

3M has a color-stable film but that has a very low heat rejection of 35%
