Question:

Metallic taste in my mouth?

I've seen a dentist recently and this is not a dental issue. I've only had one cavity my whole life. I brush and floss regularily. I constantly have a metallic taste in my mouth though. I've had chronic heart problems and issues with pericarditis... what are some common causes of metallic taste?

  1. You are full of toxins you need to get your body flushed out. their are plenty of products out their that you can take that detoxifies your body..

  2. Medication side effects

    Heart problems

    Crohn's Disease

    Sjorgren's syndrome

    Giardia

    High potassium

I suggest you see your MD & get a blood test

  3. It is probably blood; it has an iron taste.  Your dentist may have cut your gums open.  Or you have gingivitis from not flossing, which will cause your gums to bleed slightly

  4. Google "Metallic Taste in Mouth" and spend the next several hours finding out how many medicines and conditions can cause this symptom.

  5. The link below may have the answer. Some medications can cause this problem, perhaps a heart medication? You really should contact your doctor. Good luck
