Methayel favourite for Dandy d**k Theatre Royal Brighton atgtickets.com Fillies´ Handicap
Methayel is tipped to win the Dandy d**k Theatre Royal Brighton atgtickets.com Fillies´ Handicap at Brighton in England on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. The winner of the class-5 event will be awarded a cash prize of £2,264.
The going will be good to firm in the 7 furlong 214 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 15:00 GMT. A total of seven runners have been attracted towards the event and their names are as follows: Methayel, Olney Lass, Caramelita, Sasheen, Cut The Cackle,
National Hope and Basle.
Out of the above mentioned participants, there is a doubt over the participation of Caramelita and Basle. Both were seasoned runners and could have made a solid impression today.
However, their absence will not make any difference to Methayel, who has been given the best odds by the bookmakers. The punters will also be interested in placing a lot of bets in her favour, as she appears to be in good form.
The four-year-old filly has participated in 10 races, winning a couple of them. She has also finished runner up on the same number of times, which shows that she is a consistent performer.
The Clive Brittain’s trainee was unable to make any impression in her most recent race, as she finished sixth in it. She was expected to do a much better job, as the bookies had rated her as the favourite to win.
However, Methayel did not seem to have the stamina to match her rivals back then. She will be partnered by Seb Sanders, who has enjoyed a lot of success at this level and will be eying another solid show.
Looking at the performances of the other runners, the bookies have also given pretty decent odds to Olney Lass, who is in decent form right now. She has participated in 21 events until now, winning just three of them and finishing runner up on the same number
of times. Moreover, she also secured the third place on five occasions.
However, the five-year-old mare finished eighth in her most recent run, which shows that she is not carrying good form at the moment. She will be ridden by Simon Pearce in the race at Brighton.
