  1. You can request a scheduled c-section. My friend and sister in law both did with their first. Just remember if your water breaks before the date your scheduled they have to do an emergency one, or you may wind up delivering naturally if it's too late. You will always have a scar later from the c-section, and it takes a lot longer to heal. So the benefits of delivering natural with an epidural for me was the best choice. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.:)

  2. nope, they will only do C-sections if you have a medical reason for needing one. You can do it vaginally, you're body was designed for it, trust it.

  3. Oh you can request all you freaking want.  No good doctor will give you a c-section without good cause, because otherwise he/she could loose their license and/or be sued out of practicing their trade.

Never ever assume a c-section is a good thing, it's linked with poor outcomes for mom and child.  It's linked with obesity, type I diabetes, intestinal issues, asthma, allergies with the infant and great mortality and infertility with the mom.  Well, okay, if you like having a potentially sick kid and don't want more then one or two babies go for it - we need less people in the world and you will be self selecting.

  4. It wouldnt hurt to ask your doctor, let him know you would feel more comfortable.  I personally pray I dont have to have a c section, Ive researched a lot on them, the aftermath, and talked to many who have gone through it.  Its so much more painful afterwords, I hear. Good Luck!

  5. I guess so.. That's what my friend did when she was pregnant. She asked for a C-Section even if it costs a lot in the country we live in.. She was more confident and felt better having it that way. There's no harm in asking your doctor. :)

  6. u can request anything you want, whether or not you get it is another story..

C-sections are done for medical reasons, or your to small to deliver baby, baby is breach, etc, or you can choose if you have already had one previously.

C-sections are much more painful to recover from, so i would opt for natural birth with drugs...either way there is pain. i would rather be functional after baby is born though and with a c-section your mobility isnt so great

  7. You have to tell them ahead of time that you want a c section and they will do it that way and set you up with a day when they will do your c section.

  8. A c-section carries more risks to the mother and the baby than a vaginal delivery unless there is a known medical reason to avoid a vaginal delivery.  A doctor is not going to perform a more risky procedure based on what you are more comfortable with.  Women have been delivery babies since the beginning of humanity. You can do it too.

  9. i am not sure i dont think they will

  10. You can request it but each doctor is different when it come to agreeing to it.

C-sections aren't easier than a vaginal delivery.  They might be quicker at first, but they take a lot longer to heal, they have increased risks  and they affect any subsequent pregnancies.

  11. def do not do c-section.stick to the normal way, you will be glad you did especially if its ur first

  12. There's no harm in asking but I don't think they would allow it unless there was a serious physical or psychological reason.
