Methods of hanging a curtain rod without the use of screws/hooks?

Question

I am moving into a new rental location and am sick of destroying and having to fix the walls with my curtain rod. Is there a way to hang the curtain rod without the use of screws or hooks, such as a heavy duty piece of tape that wont cause wall damage? I am also seeking methods of hanging pictures/paintings for the same reason. Thank you!

mighty putty.. I used it to hang a picture on my mom's brick mantle.. WORKED AWESOME!

There is a new product out that hooks over the corner of the trim around the window and has the proper hooks for different curtain rods.  No drilling or holes when you move and take them down.

You could try stick it hooks. They're easy to put up, easy to take down, and leave no marks at all.their sizes range from as small to fit in one of the paper holes on filler paper or as wide as your hand. They can hold anywhere from 25-250 pounds.You can buy them at wal-mart or store.
