Metric conversion help?

Is it correct that there are 0.001 liters in a milliliter? Also, if I convert 0.05 micrograms into milligrams is the answer 0.5 micrograms?

Yes and no.  There are 1000 mL in a L, so in 1 mL there is 1/1000 L = .001 L

There are 1000 micrograms in a milligram, so 1 ug = 1/1000 mg = .001 mg.

.05 ug (1 mg/1000 ug) = .00005 mg
