i am wondering is it possible to travel to the Hollywood Area, Farmer's Market and Rodeo Driev, etc. from Anaheim ? Like boarding at the Norwalk Metro Station (Green Line) and change to the Blue Line at Imperial then travel to the the 7th Street Metro Center then proceed the rest of the journey from there.

Are there any other option to travel from Anaheim to these above stated areas? and how long will it takes

Thanks.

  1. yes you have a few ways of doing this

you do as you suggested Green to Blue to 7th and metro

then you can walk up to 5th and Flower and take the Metro 16 to

the farmers market at 3rd and Fairfax

(if you want hollywood I would just change to the Red Line

(here I suggested a day pass)

the red line will take you into Hollywood

if you want rodeo drive again the same routing take the Red Line or

purple line to Vermont and change again to the Rapid

note I sure hope you aren't planning all this in one day!

as it will take at least 2 hours for each destination

although there is a slight faster route from

Norwalk Green Line you could take the Metro 460 (same

bus starts in Anaheim at Disneyland)

and goes express into downtown LA  (a bit faster then take the two trains)

but it cost more  $2.45 (or you can get day pass for $5.00 but still

have to pay the zone fares)

  2. Easier to use Metrolink or Amtrak, which both run from Anaheim to Union Station.  From Union station, red line to Hollywood.

  3. I recommend renting a car.  the transit service leaves a lot to be desired here.

  4. This is a fairly easy trip. From Anaheim you can take a direct MTA bus line #460 express to Downtown Los Angeles where you could then catch various other buses to the destinations you listed. For Farmers Market take a #16 or 316 bus west on 5th street and get off at 3rd & Fairfax. For Rodeo Drive take a #720 Rapid bus west along Wilshire Blvd to Beverly Hills. For Hollywood just take a Red Line subway from the 7th street metro center station. Remember to buy an all day pass on the first bus for $5 (the #460 in Anaheim) this way you can ride to any of these locations worry free. Good Luck!
