Question:

Metro and Bus Tickets at CDG?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

I'll be arriving in Paris at terminal 2 (American Airlines) and would like to know:

Can I buy metro tickets/passes at the Airport? If so, which establishment?

Can I buy tickets for the Roissy Bus at the Airport and do I need exact change? And how much is the fare?

Many thanks in advance for your help! And any other tips would be greatly appreciated also.

  1. I have to say That when I arrived in Paris I went straight to Termina l2 and I found the signs that said RER B. This line should appear as a blue line in any accurate map. It was quick and easy. The only tip I have to give you is to either have exact change to pay at the automative machines or just move on up to a counter. It might seem like a short line but it does go by fast. I have never heard of the Roissy Bus but I hope my RER info helps. It was very easy, clean, and efficient. But you must know that if the train says 9:40 departure, you should be in the train at 9:40.

I hope you enjoy your trip.

  2. From terminal 2, just follow the signs to RER/TGV Paris and you will be able to buy your train ticket there just before getting to the platform, either from a booth or vending machine. It's 8.20 € to Paris.

The RER (it's like a fast métro that goes out in the suburb) is located between terminals 2D/2F and 2C/2E.

If you prefer Roissy Bus, it's located at gate A9 from terminals 2A & 2C, gate D11 from terminals 2B & 2D and galerie 5 from terminals E & F) and it will cost 8.60 €. I don't know where exactly to buy the tickets but I am sure it will be obvious once you are there, don't worry since everything is bilingual anyway, just follow the signs, eveything is clearly posted.

  3. You can buy tickets at the Airport. You can use an automatic vending machine with cash or Visa card. or at a ticket "guichet", which we call a booth I guess. depending where you are going: Zone 1 ,2 etc. I should cost around 10 euros more or less. J'espere que tu passe un bon vacances  Mike
