  1. Whether or not the Paris Museum pass is worthwhile depends on your style of sightseeing. If you intend to see a lot of things very quickly then its a good buy. If your style is to take your time and see fewer things but see each in greater depth then its not.

For example, if you see the Louvre, the Picasso Museum and Saint Chapelle, all in one day then you'd pay 23 euros in admission fees. But with a pass your daily cost ranges from 10-15 euros per day. Under those circumstances, if you kept up that pace of sightseeing a pass is a good idea.

The advantage of buying a transport pass depends on simlar considerations.  Paris is an easy city to walk in, the city is very compact, and the sights are largely (though not entirely) in a fairly narrow band on either side of the river Seine.

On a typical day you might therfore only use the Metro twice, once to get to the general area you'll be exploring that day and once to return to your hotel when you're finished sightseeing. In that case a pass is not a good buy.

The key to your decision is a well thought out itinerary. You should figure out what you want to see, in what order and then carefully consider which, if any of these passes will make economic sense under the circumstances.

Even if buying passes wasn't a consideration, making a detailed itinerary is the key to the best use of your precious vacation time. I'd be happy to assist you in doing this. Send me an e-mail and we can talk about your interests and the other details which go into creating such an itinerary.
