Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - You lose your saved file when you shut your Wii off?

I heard that once you get through a checkpoint that's where you start off when you die, but once you turn your Wii off it disappears? (in a review they said it'll cause lots of overnight Wii's on)

Is this true?

  1. I've turned off my Wii many times during game play, and I beat this game twice, and I never really had my save file deleted. By the way my Wii is on.. A LOT.

  2. Ive played through the game a couple times...Never had this problem...Maybe the reviewer didnt know how to save? Or his hard drive was broken? I dunno....Ive had no problem with the game....Its as close to perfect as the Prime series gets.
