This is my first time riding the Metrolink, and I'm quite confused as how the roundtrip tickets work, and which exits to take. Thank You!!

  1. You're clueless.  So am I.

Chinatown in which city ...which country?

I'm sitting here reading and answering in the UK where, as far as I know, there isn't a station called Chinatown.

    Sash

  2. If you're talking about the Metrolink in Manchester, rather than the one in California, then the answer is either Piccadilly Gardens or Moseley Street - from Piccadilly Gardens you need to cross over the bus station and go round the back of the Piccadilly Hotel, and Chinatown is down the second and third streets on the left, you can't miss the Chinese Arch. From Moseley Street (only called at by trams going to Altrincham or Eccles), go down the street on the left by the front of the tram platform, and the streets to Chinatown are on your right.

No complication with tickets - use the machines on the platforms, push the button for your destination, then the button for the type of ticket you want, read the display to see how much you have to pay, feed coins into the machine, pick up your ticket and any change from the bottom of the machine. Single tickets are good for 90 minutes, roundtrip ones until the last tram of the day.

  3. I'm going to assume you mean the Los Angeles metrolink

you get off at Union station then walk to track 1 or 2 and then take the gold line for 1 stop (and your metrolink ticket (the next stop after the Union station is China town station

is valid for transfer and if you got a round trip even better
