is there a train i can take from san bernardino to the beach

  1. You would take the Metrolink into Orange County, then transfer onto an OCTD bus for the trip to the beach.


  2. What beach do you want?  Best bet would be to take the Inland Empire-Orange County train as far as it goes, maybe Irvine or San Juan Capistrano.  From there, you would transfer to another Metrolink or Amtrak train and ride to San Clemente. At San Clemente the station is right by the beach.

    Later in the summer metrolink will probably resume direct service to the beach from the Inland Empire, but that's still a few months off.

  3. Which beach do you want?

    You could take the Inland Empire-Orange County line to Irvine and then take an OCTA bus to the beach.  Or you could take the San Bernardino line to Union Station and then take MTA blue line train to Long Beach.
