hello

i have some difficulties with my analog metronome

i'm a beginner guitarist and for now i've only played song wit 4/4 and 2/4 tempo (alongside with my meronome)but now i tried a 3/4 with the metronome and i feel the groove isn't just allright....

so i thought maybe analog metronomes (don't know if the term analog is correct but by analog i mean non-digital) can keep up only 4/4 and 2/4 rhytme ...or am i mistaken?

pls help me, i'm kinda in a hurry with this

thx :D

  1. No, I also have an analog metronome (it winds up!! very low-tech, LOL) -- and it keeps 3/4 and will also do 6/8 as well.

More likely you're just not used to playing in 3/4 time, if you've only played in 4/4 and 2/4 before this.

3/4 time is waltz rhythm so if you know how to dance a waltz you should be able to feel the rhythm in your body.

  2. I've not worked with a metronome in years -- about 35 or so!.  3/4 time is simply a waltz.  Three beats per measure, a quarter note gets one beat.  1,2,3, 1,2,3, 1,2,3...
