There is a painting in the Met's modern art wing that I love, but I can't remember the title or artist and I can't find it in their database. It's a seemingly ordinary landscape painting of a seemingly nondescript valley, rolling hills and distant roads and such, only all across the painting, in writing that's hard to see at first, the artist has inscribed personal stories about every spot on the landscape.
Anyone know it? I'm not even sure if it's still hanging in the wing--I haven't been there in two years (which is why I've forgotten the title).
