I think it was the worst lost for the Mets all season. Do you think this is the begining of the end for them. They played so well and Santana threw a really good game (i woudl give anything to ask Jerry why he didn't pitch the 9th) but the bullpen blew it again. By now, i am not even sure if it was the bullpen, just the talent and drive of Philadelphia.

With Maine on the mound I am not optimistic about tomorrow....who knows about thursday.

just a terrible loss.

  2. John Maine will do good tomorrow

Oliver Perez will do great on Thursday

Oliver is like great against the phillys

  3. Yeah Mets lose.

Im a Braves fan so of course I want them to win the division but if not them I much rather the Phillies win then the Mets.

  4. mets are chokers

  5. YEAH PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Go Phills, good game

  7. Mets are chokers. Why does this surprise you?

  8. Beat the Mets

    Beat the Mets

Step right up and beat the Mets!!

Phillies are still the team to beat!!

  9. after watching them fall apart last year, im not surprised by them choking at all

get used to it and accept it

i had to accept the fact that the A's will only be good enough to compete with the angels for the division title, but after that they seem to get content they made it to the playoffs and play with no drive at all.

  10. Lets hope its the beginning of the end.....and i agree, Jerry probably would have benefitted from keeping Santana in at least for an out or two in the ninth.  And i thank you for noting how much talent and drive the Phils have.......the Mets are good, but that loss was just horrible for them.

  11. The Mets have me worried (I'm a Phillies fan), but I am so happy tonight :) Hopefully this will jump start the Phils offense to being one of the best in the NL like it usually is. If the Phils do not get their stride back, it will not be the end of the Mets. However, do not sleep on the Marlins either. If the Phils get their stride back the Phils will win the NL East hands down. No offensive slump can last forever, so I'm still confident about my favorite team. The Mets proved that long offensive slumps can be broken this year and now it is the Phil's turn. If both teams could win it all I would like to see them both succeed, so everyone could be proud.

  12. Arghh it killed me to watch them come so far then end up losing first place to the Phillies like that!  I hope they can rebound, its just another game. We can do it.
