Mexican Border Security?

Is there an agency, like the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency, in Mexico that is responsible for protecting its borders?

yes,  although different is call ADUANA Mexicana dependency of the Secretaria de Hacienda under the Servicio de Administracion tributaria( SAT)  wich is like the Mexican IRS...

There is also INMIGRACION  wich depends on Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores..(Foreing affairs Secretary).

Those two make the job that the US C&Border Patrol does.

Yes there is, you deal with them after you pay the toll when your going into mexico. If you get a green light you can keep going, if you get a red light, they inspect your car, the way american border patrol would when returning to the states.
