Question:

Mexican/Caribbean Song?

I am making a slideshow of when I went to Cancun, so I'm looking for a song to go with the pictures. I want it to be a Mexican song with a Caribbean feel or the other way around. If anyone could think of a song that fits that description it would be appreciated.

  1. Look for a CD of LATINO music rather than Mexican music.  What AmeriKans think of as "Mexican" music (Mariachi) is from the wrong part of Mexico for a slide show of Cancun.  There are at least 5 or 6 distinct styles of Mexican 'music' and, if you want to be accurate, you have to pick the music from the area you are portraying.

  2. Last i saw a huge part of Mexico faces the Caribbean sea..... so how can they be two different cultures??

  3. lmao i dont think such a song exists....Mexican and caribbean culture are two completely different things

  4. Well u can use latin caribbean music (as in music from PR, DR or Cuba) but it won't really give it a Mexican feel, even though in Mexico they do listen to Salsa, etc even though its not from there.

But you can try a song like this one. Its the Kumbia Kings, they are a Mexican group. The music is Cumbia, which is really Colombian music but they love it in Mexico & have many groups from there too:

    Hope that helps :)
