  1. the confussion starts here:

"fiesta" is the spanish word for "party", any party done by mexicans is a mexican party or fiesta mexicana (even birthdays). But, I don't want to be mean, just helpful; I think you are asking about mexican holidays, wich is actually what many people is answering: Día de muertos (dead's day, you celebrate dead family, not The Death), Independece day (september 16, and NO 5 de Mayo! that is a "gringada") and many others you have already.

  2. wht kind of fiestas? dia de muertos, the independence day, the posadas, the carnavales, día de reyes, valentines day, dia del niño,  dia de la madre, dia del padre, navidad, año nuevo.

Dunno wht u need 2 know abt the fiestas but i can tell u most od the holidays in mex r celebrated with the family and they include something good 2 eat :P

In dia de muertos we use 2 make oferings 2 our dead family and friends with some basic things an offering includes (inciense, water, salt, candles, paper, sugar skulls, dead bread) and things the dead liked when they lived.

In the posadas we drink the typical ponche made with fuits and he sing the letania (talks abt mary and joseph looking 4 a place where 2 happened the birth of jesus), and we breake the piñatas tht also have a catholic meaning.

In the independence day we use 2 go out with friends 2 a pub or have dinner with the family and eat typical dishes like pozole, we all wait the moment in which the president "shouts" this classic "viiiiivvaaaa meexxicooooo".

  3. This is a generic description: basically are family parties and close friends invited, common food consist of Mole (a very spicy salsa), chicken and rice, beer or Tequila, a piñata, mariachis or Norteños style music groups. On Northern areas, people is used to prepare meat on grill on the garden.

  4. Think big party with music, dancing, food...a pinata for a birthday. Use some keywords on the internet for fiesta, holidays, Mexico.

  5. There are plenty of mexican holidays, the most reknown may be

    1. February 5th. Constitution Day.

    2. March 21st. Benito Juarez Birthday.

    3. May 10th. Mother's Day

    4. May 5th. Battle of Puebla.

    5. February 24th. Flag Day.

    6. September 16th. Independence Day

    7. May 1st. Labour's day.

    8. November 2nd. Day of the dead

    9. November 20th: Revolution Day.

    10. December 12th. Guadalupe Virgin Day

    11. December  15th to 24th. Posadas (pinata parties)

    12. December 24th. Christmas Eve (noche buena)

    13. December 25th Christmas.

  7. ....there are 14 MILLION ILLEGAL "*******" sneaky mexicans in the US.....and YOU have to actually get on here? There are probably some kids in your school who could tell you straight up ??  right there under your nose....you are going to get left behind....by those students actually wanting to work, regardless of NCLB, YOU will be left BEHIND on your own merit, or lack of merit rather !!!
