  1. 1. they don't come here legally because if they were legal they would have to pay taxes and assimilate. instead they come here illegally and do it for ONLY the free things. they don't come for a better life. IF they wanted a better life they would come legally pay the fee and wait the time required. Why should they do that when they come here and get welfare and free housing, free education, they use the medical system and bankrupt it. they work under the table and pay NO income taxes so when they have debt, our taxes pay it.

    2. the only ones who have the power to stop it is the President. he needs to start caring about the country and enforcing the borders. why doesn't he do this: here's why: the companies that hire these illegals under the table are getting richer by doing so. do you think they want the illegals gone..no. then they would actually have to pay Americans to do the job for what it's worth and they would not be able to pocket the difference in money. So because these businesses are basically your big corporations they are the ones who are making the President richer and paying his expense accounts.. he doesn't want to make them mad and cut off his income.

    3. they would rather come here for (answer #1) than to stay and fix the problems in their own country. They are not that poor. They just know that they can come here and break the laws and not get in trouble.. thence why tons of them are now in San Francisco in the sanctuary city. I have heard a few of their conversations. They have said they hate America and Americans and they are here only to take over America and make it a country like mexico.

hope that helps. Good luck on your paper.

  2. Most are not educated and cannot read or write, so they don't know how legal things work or how to fill out paperwork to get here legally.

We fine companies that hire them. We deport them.  We are building a fence.

They want more money.  Mexico is a 2nd world country, its not that bad and there are jobs.  They just want to make easy quick money.  Also, its easy to live here.  They don't have to learn English or have any education to work here.

  3. Are you not aware of The North American Union? (Goggle it). It’s a treaty signed in 2005 that Bush signed that amalgamates US, Canada and Mexico as one country destroying all borders. Your stars and strips are to go as well as the dollar. New currency is called the Newmero (goggle it).  You maybe should be asking why you have not heard of this, you certainly will not hear about it on mainstream media.

In 20 years time there will be no US, only an area of the only an area of The North American Union. It will become a police state directed by the new world order and the population will have been carefully reduced by 85%.

  4. 1. Even if they try to do it legally, many will have their applications rejected by US Immigration. It's not that easy, especially for Mexicans who have no education and are poor. US authorities see this type of people as a burden to the country. It is easier for a Mexican with a university degree who comes from a middle to upper class to come legally because on the contrary, they will actually contribute to the economy of the US.

    2. US created the Border Patrol and have developed technologies to monitor the entry of all foreigners.

    3. For better opportunities and to be able to provide and to feed their families. Mexico's government is so corrupt and has done nothing to create more jobs to the population. If there is some one to blame for Mexicans crossing illegally to the US that is the Mexican government, not the poor illegals.

    Good luck on your paper.

  5. 1. It costs money to get a passport and it takes time.

    2. Well the borders are being patrolled but they still find a way to cross over.

    3. Poverty. I know people that have come from over there and say they can work a week and if they want to buy a new shirt that can cost almost that weeks pay, they say we are spoiled over here in the states.

  6. Because it takes too long and too much money.

Because the Economy benefits from immigration.

Not all illegal immigrants come from Mexico. Most don't want to live their home countries but they do it to have a better life.

  7. 1) It takes quite a long time to immigrate legally, and many immigrants don't feel that they have that time to wait -- by the time they've decided to leave their homes, they're in a pretty dire economic situation.  The risks of crossing the border illegally, which can be very high, may still be lower than the risks of staying where they are.

    2) The federal government is in charge of stopping illegal immigration.  They patrol the borders with an armed force and have built a wall across  part of the US-Mexico border.  Within the United States, Immigration & Customs Enforcement tracks down and arrests illegal immigrants.  (All of these agencies are parts of the Department of Homeland Security.)  Newer attempts to control illegal immigration include a database where employers can check if identity documents provided by employees are valid.

    3) Even with Mexico's recent economic progress, many Mexicans live in desperate poverty.  In some parts of Mexico, many villages are almost entirely dependent on money sent back home by family members working (legally or illegally) in the US.  Along with economic pressures, a few Mexicans also choose to leave home because they are fleeing persecution.  A few Mexican immigrants who came here illegally have applied successfully for political asylum here.

  8. Hey, I'm mexican, LEGAL and PhD student ;) so, here are my answers.

    1. They can't come here legally. I've seen people applying for visas in american consulates, especially in Guadalajara my hometown, and they get rejected for OBVIOUS reasons. It is sad, but you can see that there are lots of people that are trying to get a job, and they can't do it in Mexico for several reasons, that go beyond the scope of this question. Think about this, if they could come legally, they would prefer to come legally, I guess nobody wants to do something illegal, or have some extra problems with police. However, since they get their visas rejected, they will try to go nonetheless. The legal first generation mexicans are usually engineers, scientists, or any other type of specialized professional, which, by the way, there are a lot in Mexico.

    2. I think the US has done some efforts, but the answer is an economic reason for companies. By hiring illegal aliens, wages, and therefore costs decrease, making final products more competitive. If you hire only legal people, prices would go up, therefore making you less competitive. I think that if immigration were a big big problem, the government could give millions of dollars in fines, and even prision for several years, to people that hire immigrants. With radical measures like that, I bet immigration will decrease.

    3. Well, I think it's only for an economic reason. I bet most of them don't wanna move to the US forever, most of them don't have a plan for their lives. They come from the lowest educated segment of the mexican population, and if even educated people struggle with their future, think about the uneducated. That's the only reason, it is not because they love the US, or they prefer the american government, or they're escaping for insecurity. Nothing but pure economical reasons, that's it. And, I think most of them would go back to Mexico if they could have a chance to do it, but they get used to the american way of life, and they don't go bad.

    Hope it works ;)

  9. It is easyer to sneak in under the fence and head for a sanctuary city.

A few raids but nothing that would effect the overwhelming #s of illegals

We offer a free life with welfare stipends, social programs, education, healtcare.
