  3. What kind of cactus soup? was it red/clear? thick? It could be one of many different recipes depending on where in mexico  its from (i'm assuming its a mexican recipe because so is the orange peel diet, if it isn't- my mistake) Try searching for caldo de nopal or sopa de nopal. and about the orange peel diet, this lady once told my mom about this diet. you are supposed to boil the orange peels and drink the water. To be honest I can't say that it worked. we only tried it for about 2 days because it didn't taste so good. but here is the recipe.

12 oranges, halved and juice removed (you can save the oj for later)

    4 liters water

boil the orange peels until water is reduced to half.

Strain juice to get rid of solids. place in a pitcher and refrigerate.

you're supposed to drink one glass of the "tea" everyday before 2pm.

don't drink more than one glass per day and avoid coffee and dairy products 2hrs before and after you drink it.  Hope this helps.
