Enchiladas are already taken as well as: chili, guacamole, taco salad, beans and rice, and some fruit salad thing. I am a good cook and can pull off anything I just cant think of an exciting dish. I do not want to make tamales since they are so much work. Any interesting ideas that will satisfy and impress? Desserts are all right too.

  1. burritos, chicken quasadias or a non-alcholic Sangria. Sopapia's (I have probably misspelled those) these are little flour type tortilla pieces, baked and served with a honey type glaze drizzled on them for dessert

  2. Flautas are great for a party because they can be finger food or a dish, just cook some meat or chicken, chop it fine and roll it into corn tortillas, I usually have to warm up the tortillas and then close them with tooth picks because the tortillas in the US are not that flexible, then you just fry them with some oil in a skillet and you are ready to go, just remember to remove the tooth pick before you serve.

  3. Fajitas

    Burritos

Deserts - Fried Ice Cream (easy to make); Flan;  Tres Leche cake

    Drinks:  Margaritas; Tequilla

Decor:  Navajo design;  Bright colors especially red.

  4. fajitas are my favorite Mexican dish i suggest that

  5. if you go to www.foodnetwork.com, on the home page their is a pic that says south of the border bites... just click on that and you can chose anything from hundreds of recipes..... they have dessert recipes too...

    good luck!
