Mexican walking fish malting/shedding?

Question

MY axcelotal mexican walking fish is shedding its like a white slime comming off and a fluff appears at his gills?? This happened befor and he was ok i put fin rott soloution in is it fin rott?? because they dont have scales its skin??? Please help i dont want him to die!!!!

Sometimes axolotls can shed their skin.  It could also be their slime coat that they are known to shed from time to time.  Try not to touch them too much in case you damage their very sensitive skin.
