  1. Big bubba pretty much explained it all. Not paying hotel is a big help. Have fun and enjoy.

  2. $80 a day if you are drinking. $400 is more than enough. Unless you will be souvenir shopping like crazy.

  3. 50-60 a day is fine. You'll do good with 400.

  4. 400 is good 100 a night plus everythings cheaper over there.

  5. Well the hotel is a big saving,  500usd will be my suggestion,

Mexico City is either the most expensive city or one of the cheapest depend where you want to go, Museums are not expensive,  I´ll suggest

Museo de Antropología, Castillo de Chapultepec, Templo Mayor, Museo del Virreinato Tepotzotlán Edo Mex, ( this one is in the very limits of the city on the exit to Queretaro) and if you like Art go to Somoaya in Plaza Loreto mall in south MX city.

Restaurants, depending on the zone  you could spend from  10 usd to 100 usd. the variety is humongous!.

Very expensive restaurants suggestions ( 100 usd PER p):

Mexican .- Mesón del Caballo Bayo, Hacienda de los Morales, San Angel Inn, Hacienda Tlalpan,

International.- El Lago at Chapiltepec, Bellini ( the food is so- so but its at the top of  WTC one of the tallest buildings in the city and the view is great), Cina Grill at Camino Real.

If you like to spend like 50-60 usd per person,

Go to the Hipodromo de las Americas at night, there is a selection of restaurants facing the track.

Go to Condesa at Michoacán street ther you will find plenty to choose from,

Try the restaurants is Plaza Loreto, or Plaza Cuicuilco, in south mexico city,

On Saturdays you can eat at the 10 usd dollar Buffet at Bazar del Sábado ( Saturdays Bazar) on Mártires de San Patricio square at down town San Angel, the place also has some of the most beautiful displays of Arts and craft of the city.

Or if you want cheap but still a good experience go to Downtown Coyoacán  and try the Chiles en Nogada, for 6 dlls, a mexican independence day dish that is not hot. and the old style icecream from the square.

Also for fast food try Tacos del Borrego Biudo, or the expensive but good Charco de las Ranas.

    Clubs.- depends on your age

Try Plaza  Escenaria at night, Rivoli it used to be good,  Clasico is a theme one , and across the street is the one for the very young teen crowd. Cluv.

Condesa at tamaulipas street is a group of pretty good

places, like Irish Pub and the others right beside it that I don´t remember their name, there is also the W bar at Polanco for the snoby type.

Velvet is one after-hours club that you can keep the party going after 6 am- 1pm!!-

and the list can go forever!!!!
