  1. Look for the Carnival Paradise or the Carnival Pride if you want Mexican Riviera.  If you want Cozumel, then Try the Carnival Inspriration out of Tampa, or the Carnival Glory out of Port Canaveral.  They offer the best value for your cruise dollar.  I always get the cheapest inside room that there is. We only use it to sleep, shower and dress in anyway.  A lot of people will tell you Carnival is full of partieres that are drunk all the time, and that the service and food are not good, but I have never experienced this.  I have only cruised on Carnival, and we have had an awesome vacation every time.

  2. Most of your mainstream cruiselines offer similar products.  By mainstream, I mean, Carnival, Royal Carribean, Princess, Norwegian etc.  There are minor differences between the lines but for the most part a cruise is a cruise.  Almost all cruise ships will have a spa, however it will be over prices.  As far as decks go, The higher decks are closer to the pool / buffetr areas,  the lower decks will be closer to the dining room, casino, shopping areas.  Higher decks cost more but food / service/ quality of the rooms are identical.  You just want to avoid being in a room right under the gallery or the jogging track.  Most of the big travel sites and the cruise line sites have deck plans.  check out cruisecritic.com

  3. One thing I CAN tell you is donnot drink the local water in Mexico. Makes your stomach feel bad, which leads to you know what.

  4. Good morning,

Which part of Mexico do you want?  West Coast or East Coast.

If cost is a factor, I would go with Carnival.  They offer a very nice product.

As far as which cabin...if cost is a factor and depending upon the length of the cruise, just get an inside cabin.  The only downfall, no windows.

Feel free to contact me for itinerary suggestions and/or pricing.

    Good Luck,
