Mexico Mission Trip gift ideas???

Question

My girlfriend is going on a mission trip for 2weeks. I want to put a few things together for her so she knows i care. Any original and "cute"(lack of a better word) ideas would be awesome. thanks

Why not instead of giving HER something, give her stuff she can give to the children in Mexico??  That to me would be the best gift.  Things like childrens flip flops, hair scrunchies, hackie sack balls, little toys and candies.  That way she will get some pleasure out of handing these things out to children who need gifts more than she does.

Hey, that is so cute, I am glad you have the idea to do that. It would be cool to make a gift for her to open for everyday she is gone. Put them all in like a knapsack (like those Nike ones), so she can have them all in one bag and put each individual gift for each day in a brown paper lunch bag.. easy. Here are some ideas:

Day One: -lip gloss/little lotion from Victoria Secret... or Bath and Body works.

Day Two: -her favorite candy, pick two.

Day Three: -just a nice note saying you miss her.. or w/e.

Day Four: -propose to her with a ring.. JUST KIDDING, maybe a simple tank top she can wear or a shirt :)

Day Five: -a picture of you and she.

That's so cool- I hope she has a wonderful time!

Maybe you could write her a note and hide it in her bag so it'll take a few days for her to find it. Pack her some of her favorite snacks if you can, or maybe make her a mix CD of her favorite songs.

If she likes puzzles, pack her some of those (I'm a sucker for sudukos, madlibs, and word searches myself). Or her favorite book.

It all depends on what she likes :)

Umm... this sounds more like a dating and relationship question than mexican culture and travel. The question would belong here if you were the one going to Mexico and you didn't know what to bring to her.

Hrm... consider giving her something she could legally bring to Mexico. That knocks out flowers and perishable food. You could give her a box of chocolates I guess.

If she likes Mountain Dew and Root Beer sodas a lot, for a less romantic gift you could give her that. You can't buy those soda flavors in Mexico. :(
