Mexico Shore Excursion? Have anyone encountered problem?

Hi, I'm going on the Carnival Pride to the Mexican Rivieria and wanted to book some shore excursion independently. I found the websites below for booking the excursions, but was afraid it could be a scam, so I was wonder if anyone or know anyone that have encountered problem with these companies in the past?

Watch out for the ATV tours or independent rentals.  Recently a co-worker was involved in an accident while on a rented ATV, suffered injuries and received poor medical care that had to be corrected once back in USA.  In addition it was the fault of a local on his personal ATV who was just a ride along to flirt with the tourist women, however the rental operator did not want to even let the victim go to hospital before they paid several hundred $$$ for the damages to his equipment.

they are legitimate.  but here is a tip...do NOT take the ATV tour in puerto vallarta!!  it's horribly boring and a huge waste of money.  it's not a "jungle," it's a forest....there are no jungles on the pacific coast!  and don't believe any c**p about a "tequilia factory."  my bf and i followed behind an ATV tour in our SUV, saw everything they did (which was nothing, it's just a dirt road) and discovered the tequila factory was a concrete slab where you were required to pay for a shot of tequila.  NOT going on that tour was the best choice we ever made!  i felt horrible for those people...they paid over 75 dollars!
