Mexico can we take him?

we are going to mexico tonight me, my mom, dad, and older sister have our passports but we want to take my lil nephew he doesn't have a passport yet but we have his birth certificate and every thing else can we take him yes or no

  1. Children under 18 do not require a photo ///I.D....so for the little one, if you are traveling by land, just a birth certificate.  If flying , he would have to have a passport.  His parents would also have to give you a letter of permission for your parents to take him out of the U.S.  Must be signed by both and notarized.  See site below and read paragraph on Minors under "Entry Requirements."  See 2nd site to see that even infants require their own passports, and 3rd to read passport requirement for flying to Mexico, and no passport needed for land travel.


  2. You only need a birth certificate for under age children (18 under)
