  1. cleaner than rome where i had obstacle courses of dog f***s all over the street and trash overflowing form the alleys. groooossss

  2. Smog and noise. The city sits in a valley at a very high altitude. Many people may feel sick when in the city but is more because of the height rather than the pollution. For a city this size is really a miracle than the level of illnesses related to pollution are not that high. Probably the body gets used to it. ANother point to highlight is that given the city's altitude it is always foggy then when you combine this factor with pollution makes a strange grey sky

  3. There´s a lot of smog.

  4. Its what you would expect for a city of 18 million people?  and with little on the pollution prevention side except for not being able to drive your car one day a week.   Also because it is sort of in a graphical 'bowl' it has a hard time 'cleansing' itself of smog.  I would suggest air filter at home, and get away for the weekends.   You can eat good food, excellent fruits, for a much better price... maybe that is the leveling factor.

  5. Smog, Pollution, a lot of traffic, a lot of people.

  6. If you go up to castillo de Chapultapec and look over the city you will see that it is covered by a grey cloud. After a week or two in the city you will find that your eyes become irritated. Mexico city is huge with a lot of traffic. The administration is trying to do something about the smog. Driving older cars is restricted but still this has only reduced the smog. Many older people or those with respiratory problems wear a mask.Public transit in the city is excellent.
