Mexico has states, which each have a governor. What happens when the governor dies in office? Who succeeds?

Is there an automatic replacement for a Mexico State Governor or is an election held immeadeatly? If automatically replaced, which office succeeds to Governor?

In most states, the Legislature appoints an interim governor if the death occurs during the first two years, until the next regularly scheduled election allows the election of a new governor.  If it occurs later in the term, a special election is held.
