Mexico resorts?

Question

Riu Palace myan riveria-playa del carmen:

has anyone stayed at this resort??

If so what did you guys think of the resort and its service??

how was the food, and drinks, and also drinking water...would you recommend staying here?

How are the bars/clubs?

how is the beach area, clean/large?

would you recommend booking a tour to chichen itza from this resort??

i didnt go there but i recently went to the moon palace in cancun mexico. It was the best resort/hotel i ever stayed at. It had the best service, drinks, food, it was very clean, it was huge, it had the softest sand ever. the ocean was kind of dirty with seeweed but that is only one negative among a ton of positives. from this resort it is only 2 1/2 hours from chichen-itza. It has plenty of bars on site and if you become a member almost everything is free. it was awesome. it also was extremly comfy with excellent activities to do. i know this wasnt the hotel u were talking about but i hoped this helped! good luck and have fun!

it might not help but i just booked a trip to that exact place based on peoples opinions.....look on traveladvisor.com the reviews are really indepth and helpful...it sounds amazing and for really detailed pics go to judyandmariastravel.com and look up the resort there are hundreds of pics....i asked the same question about this resort...and this is the best answer i got

private beach, lots of pools one for adults only.

beds next to the pools. you got to get up early to snag one.

massages are offered.

very clean rooms. I believe the jr. suite has only one room off of the common room. the common room has a comfy sleeper sofa. they all have balconies mine had a hot tub.

the breakfast buffet is fantastic. more choices than you want. fresh fruit and fresh juice. traditional mexican and american dishes.

fresh pasteries and omletes made right in front of you.

if you get bored of relaxing and swimming they have a shuttle to take you where you want to go."
