  1. YES and NO.  Of course, ":ever": could mean 200 years from now.

We already have enough problems with Puerto Ricans who are all  automatic citizens of the U.S..  The welfare costs are humongous per capita.  The Puerto Ricans are very nice people and they are very smart.in terms of ability to learn  The problem is the language barrier of course, and their culture doesn't emphasize education.  Due to parents fearing loss of control,  the Puerto Rican children generally will not rise much above the educational level of the parents.  Ergo, a high percentage of teenage  pregnancies lead to huge welfare payouts.

The same problems would occur with the class of Mexicans that comprise today's illegal immigrants for the same reasons.

Can you imaging over 50 million  poor uneducated people speaking only Spanish becoming U.S. citizens?  Puerto Rico only has 4 million total..

  2. Nooo good lord, I pray that such thing will NEVER happen!!

I'm mexican, and I don't know if anyone here who would like to become part of the US. Enough dependency already. You already have way too many mexicans in your territory anyway, I don't think you'd want any more.....

We're happy just the way we are now.. hopefully things will stay like this (i.e. at their current political status) forever.

  3. Mexico will never become a part of the USA. First, it is too big to incorporate. Second, it has its own unique history and culture. Finally, the ruling elite would lose a lot submitting themselves to our tax code.

  4. Why not USA joins Mexico?¡

Anyway seems Europe is becoming one state with one currency. Don´t you think we should do the same in north America?

If we can not affor it its because you americans are a very close society.

  5. Zetabosio... indeed!

  6. Mexico is Napoleonic Code for their laws which could never mesh with the English-based law system that America embellished. How could we have a state that stipulates Roman Catholic is the state religion?

  7. Tell them to get in line behind Iraq.

  8. No, it is highly impossible for that to happen.

For starters, Americans are normally too narrow-minded, fear outsiders and tend to segregate (ie, religiously, by race, by sexual orientation, by origin, etc.), hence it will be very hard to welcome Mexicans.

It would be shocking for them because, since initially they would think that the main problem would be to sustain economically the Mexicans, eventually they will find out that their bigger problem will be to adapt to the Mexican society: peaceful, anti-war, pro-family, anti fast-food, respectfully and tolerant to other cultures and ways of thinking, aware of their roots and the historic origin, pro-diversity.

Mexicans tend to bond everywhere and have a good time always and everywhere, and Americans are regularly always very scared, secluded in their homes, waiting for signs of panic and alarm. Just as it happened during the World Cup in the USA, Americans where in shock watching people in the streets actually having fun and walking carelessly.

Americans normally think they are always right and does not know how to cope with different ways of thinking, different proposals or new life styles. This will make them feel more threatened and will stay more time inside their houses waiting for politicians to do something about all those Mexicans walking freely in their cities.

Americans would never be able to adapt to Mexico, even though they would like to, they don't have the capability to do so.

Secondly, Mexico as a country is richer than USA. USA has more money, but culturally and socially speaking is very flat. USA tend to erase all signs of the past and just vote for modernity for the sake of cash flow. Hence, Americans could not cope with the ideas of preservation in any sense, and Mexico would not allow USA to have the possibility to affect its origins, society, welfare and resources. The possibility of the Mexican Indians to suffer the same fate as the Native Americans will be enough reason for Mexico to automatically reject any proposal of USA and Mexico joining in one single country.

Even though it would be great to join the virtues of both countries in a single one, I believe that the result will be completely the opposite and nearly catastrophic.

  9. No, I don't think it will and no, I don't think it would be welcomed. Too much resentment against the entire culture at this point.
