  1. hey! im sorry, i can't answer your question, but you offered me advice a little while ago, and i just wanted to let you know that im not sure how to contact you? it says that you are in my contacts, but your im and e-mail is private.i don't remember if i e-mailed you questions or not, but please feel free to email me if you would like, because i have no way to contact you, or carry on a conversation...thank you for your time!

  2. Mexico is a large and diverse country. Do you want to see interesting countryside (definitely include Copper Canyon), historic old buildings? (Zacatecas is amazing and Guanajuato is a trip) see ancient ruins or artist colonies? (definitely Oaxaca) just hang around beaches (many resorts on both Atlantic and Pacific coasts).

You could buy a few Moon Guides or Lonely Planet books and see what interests you.

I would consider contacting a good international travel agent like Carlson Wagonlit Travel and let them help arrange your trip.

  3. Ok, from LA you'll have to go to Tijuana first. Take a flight from there to anywhere else, I suggest Guadalajara, for example. Northern Mexico has not a lot of touristic places, and it is a large portion of land (obviously, not as big as Australia), but it's big nonetheless and it will take you a lot of time to cover it.

If you fly to Guadalajara, for example, you can go to a lot of places from there. You could have a circuit towards Mexico City. Then, you can go to Oaxaca, Chiapas, and Yucatan Peninsula, and then take a plane back to Tijuana. The key in here is to come and go through a cheap flight to Tijuana.

Considering 4 weeks, I'll do the following itinerary:

    Week 1: Guadalajara, Morelia, Guanajuato

Week 2: Mexico City and surroundings

    Week 3: Oaxaca, Chiapas

    Week 4: Yucatan Peninsula

However, I think you should give mor information about the type of places you'd like to visit. If you wanna go to archaeological sites, southeastern Mexico could be a better choice. For beaches, the caribbean and the pacific coast. For old towns, central Mexico. For natural beauties, Oaxaca and Chiapas.

If you give more information, I could help. I've actually been to all those places, so I know what's going on :)
