Mexico vacation ideas?

I want to go to Mexico with a group of friends..we are all about 18 or 19 and we want to rent a house..any good spots..or maybe even home ideas?!?!?

Do not go to the Yucatan (Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, etc. unless you want to hang out with a bunch of Americans and Europeans).  I highly recommend the Pacific coast (Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, etc.).

Depends on what you want to do.  If you are looking for the beach and partying, then I would recommend, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, or Playa del Carmen which is close to Cancun. If you are looking for a more cultural experience I would recommend Mexico City. From there you can go see the ancient pyramids, party in the city (great night life) or go shopping at one of the world's biggest malls. I'm sure it would not be too hard to rent a house in any of these locations.
