Im doinf the "get the Edge" course (Anthony Robbins) and on the 4th day its all about health and he goes on to say (im paraphrasing) 'Your liver requires 55-60 megahertz of ENERGY'

..... thats like saying I am 5'11ounces.... What am I missing here? Amazingly there is NOTHING on the net that explains this use of units besides "electrical

magnetic vibrational frequency" I asked my dad about this and in his closed-minded nature scoffed and concluded that Anthony Robbins is a fraud. (-_-")

  1. Hertz is frequency of a cycling.  How fast a item oscillates You are right.  the units make no sense.  Hertz is a frequency measurement, a back and forth or hits like waves on a beach.  the faster the waves come ashore, the higher the frequency.  Mega= 1 million Hz or 1,000,000 cycles / second.

Energy or power is not measured directlly in Hz but rather in units as mentioned by the first guy.  You have heat energy usually measured in calories or btu's, electrical energy in watts or kilowatts or Joules, or mechanical energy measured in horsepower or NewtonMeter/sec.

I think your guy doesn't know what he is talking about.  Is he trying to sell you something.  I have the feeling the guy is a good con from what I have read about him.  A lot of times people make statements/claims that sound really scientific or important and it is all just to give themselves credibility.  Be skeptical.

  2. Yup, Anthony Robbins is a fine speaker in his own right, but he got the units mixed up. mhz is a shorthand for oscillation rate in dealing with energy, not volume.  Energy is measured in Newtons, Joules, watts, kcal, etc...

    I can't say if the guy's a fraud, but he's not a scientist.
