Miami Dolphins WR Brian Hartline hopes to return to field and form to bolster offence – NFL News
Brian Hartline, the four-year wide receiver of the Miami Dolphins, who missed the mandatory three-day minicamp due to an appendectomy, hopes to be a regular part of the team from training camp, which starts at the end of this month.
A number of rumours hit the air in absence of the player from the squad as there was no apparent explanation behind his absence by the team. Now it is confirmed by the player as well as the team that he was out due to the problem.
The WR hopes to be hundred percent and ready to return by the training camp. Dolphins have already announced the training camp schedule and it will run from last week of this month through mid-August.
Brian says:
"It's going better now. It's been a little bumpy the past couple of months, but I'm on the right path now."
Although it has not been confirmed by the player himself, a number of reports claimed earlier that the problem required him to remain hospitalised for some time.
Further, Brian says he is not worried about the lost time on the field. He is confident he can catch up on the workout he has missed.
Moreover, he adds he has offensive coordinator Mike Sherman's playbook "pretty down pat."
Hartline says of the playbook learning and missed training:
"I've got a little bit of stuff to make up but again, I've got a full month. That's plenty of time. Real life happens sometimes and that's just what it is."
Irrespective of the recent issues, the player is coming off a rather gloomy 2011 season. His last season’s record consists of 35 catches for total 549 yards and one touchdown.
Dolphins must hope he comes out on the field with a clear improvement in his form. The team has three quarterbacks this season, having equally impressive performance potential.
If Hartline returns to field from the procedure and most importantly if he is able to find his touch, the team’s offence will have more chances of going through to the playoffs, and may be beyond.
