Miami Dolphins host struggling Tennessee Titans in Week 10 – NFL Preview
Tennessee Titans go on road with their reputation on the line as they face Miami Dolphins in Week 10 game on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Sun Life Stadium, Miami, Florida.
Titans are coming off a humiliating 20-51 defeat against Chicago Bears. Their diminishing performance has placed them third in the American Football Conference (AFC) South with a 3-6 record.
Dolphins (4-4) are looking forward to increasing their chances for the playoffs by going above .500 by winning this tie.
Titans’ offence gave away five turnovers in the last game and will have to regroup with return of quarterback Jake Locker.
The quarterback has been out for last five games due to injured shoulder. Running back Chris Johnson is also hoping for a better performance after fumbling twice against Bears.
Titans’ owner Bud Adams has indicated that after such an embarrassing performance last week, he will review the output of each and every person associated with the franchise.
Head coach Mike Munchak admitted that the owner’s reaction is justifiable as the team got one of their biggest home defeats in the franchise history. Munchak said:
"I would probably have said the same thing if I were him. This is his team. He expects us to play well, especially at home. That's our job. That's my job to make sure we're out there playing our best and winning games at home hopefully every time we line
up. We have to win football games right now.”
The defence has been even worse as they have given away an average of 34.2 points per game which is the worst in the National Football League (NFL).
Meanwhile, Dolphins are smoothly placed at second spot in AFC East. Their offensive output has been surprisingly good.
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is working like a veteran on the field as he has not thrown a single interception in last five games. Talking about the Dolphins’ good run of form, Tannehill said:
"We've had some good games, some not-so-good games, and some bad games. You have to realize where you are at and push forward. We are at a critical point in the season, halfway through, and it can go either way from here."
The offence is desperate to get running game going as star running back Reggie Bush has been underperforming throughout this season.
Bush has not been able to run for 100 yards or above in a game this season. This is a total turnaround as compared to last season, in which he finished with 100 or more yards per game for four straight games.
