Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush takes a shot at New York Jets – NFL News
Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush was not ready to sit back quietly after getting injured in Week 3 game against New York Jets on Sunday, September 23, 2012.
Moreover, he was further pressed by the comments made by Jets players and head coach both before and after the game. So there was no pity in Bush’s words for Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, who also got injured during the same game.
Bush gave a harsh response to Revis’ injury. In a radio interview for The Paul and Young Ron Show in South Florida, Bush said:
"It's like the old saying, 'What goes around comes around’. They talked about all week about putting hot sauce and this and that, and they ended up losing their best player for the rest of the season. So, it's sad that it happened because of that, but I'm
going to be back."
These comments come in context with the remarks made by Jets head coach Rex Ryan who previously said before the game that he wanted to put some hot sauce onto Bush.
Bush’s injury became more controversial when Jets linebacker Calvin Pace told reporters after the game that he had to put Bush out. Pace clarified next day that they had not placed any bounty on the running back.
Bush got a knee injury during the second half of the game. He was evaluated on Monday and diagnosed to have a slight bruise. He is hopeful to play in Bills’ Week 4 game next Sunday, September 30.
Revis tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) during the final quarter of the game and will be out for considerable time.
Bush’s comments do not look to be the last one in this debate as the Gang Green, particularly Ryan, have the reputation of being outspoken in front of media.
Jets and Dolphins will again face each other in Week 8, October 28. During the interview, Bush confirmed that his MRI reports have shown no structural damage to his knee.
