Miami Dolphins thrash Buffalo Bills 35-8 on Week 11 Sunday – NFL Recap
Contrary to everyone’s expectation, Miami Dolphins struck hard while the injury prone Buffalo Bills' helplessly watched the game slip by on Sunday Week 11. Dolphins secured a 35-8 victory over Bills.
The Dolphins’ have now come up with three straight victories after having lost their first seven games. The combined score for the Miami in the last three games has been an impressive 86-20 with their defence not allowing the other
team to score a single touchdown.
However, it was not just the defence that made their game on Sunday. The Miami offence fared equally well. Quarterback Matt Moore completed 14 of 20 passes for 160 yards with three touchdowns passes.
On the other hand, injuries made the Bills vulnerable to a Miami onslaught. They were a no match for the Dolphins whose defensive line kept them out of the end line for the entire game. The susceptible Bills now trail three straight
losses being outscored for a total of 106-26.
Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was limited by the Miami to just 16 yards on seven carries. Fitzpatrick has failed to win a single game since his arrival, forfeiting 12 turnovers during six games. He had signed a $59 million contract
last month.
"We're baffled as to what has happened," a disheartened Ryan Fitzpatrick said. "For the past three weeks, it has not been fun to play, and I'm sure it has not been fun to watch."
Fred Jackson could manage just a yard more than Fitzpatrick on his seven carries.
Injuries had added to the Bills’ woes with Fred Jackson falling prey to a right calf injury. The rushing leader had to keep out for most of the second half. Terrence McGee who injured his left knee and Donald Jones with an ankle
injury had to leave the field. Bad news for the Bills is that McGee is feared to miss out the remainder of the season whole Jones may miss out another six weeks.
The Dolphins managed two turnovers from the receivers which both resulted in touchdowns. They were leading 21-3 in the middle of the first half having scored three touchdowns on the first three possessions.
Nolan Carroll intercepted a pass off the hands of Brad Smith after which Moore threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Clay. Clay managed the first touchdown in his career.
Yeremiah Bell managed intercepting a pass from David Nelson towards the end of the second half. Moore then threw a touchdown pass to Davone Bess. The Miami were already leading 28-3 before half of the game had ended.
Head coach of Miami, Tony Sparano termed the game a “tremendous dance”. He said, "This is nice for the guys. They're just worried about doing their job and trying to prove people wrong. They make me smile a little bit. I don't
know that I want to show that, though.”
Bills Head Coach Chan Gailey was a disappointed man. Talking to the press he said, "I don't know if I've ever been through that before, ever. When you're that bad, you're having a pitiful day."
