Miami Dolphins vs Dallas Cowboys – Week 12 Game: NFL Preview
After successfully beating Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins and Buffalo Bills in week nine, 10 and 11 respectively to end their seven-game losing streak, Miami Dolphins are now set to face Dallas Cowboys at the Cowboys Stadium
on Thursday in the week 12 encounter of the National Football League current season.
Dolphins know that it is foolish to expect mercy from the host, who are eyeing entry into the playoffs and have services of in-form players like Tony Romo and DeMarco Murray.
“Cowboys have a lot of weapons, between Dez (Bryant) and Jason Witten and ... of course Tony Romo, there's just a bunch of weapons that we gotta deal with," Dolphins’ coach Tony Sparano admitted. The coach added that his team is
performing well and he is pleased with the current winning streak.
Romo is having a splendid season. He has started all the ten games for Cowboys completing 223 passes of 346 attempts for 2,800 yards with 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions. In the last-week, overtime-win against Washington
Redskins, Romo completed 23 of 37 passes for 292 yards and recorded three touchdowns.
Cowboys are looking for their fourth straight victory to ensure that they stay the leader-board of the National Football Conference East division. They are averaging 398.8 yards (277.0 passing yards and 121.8 rushing yards) per
game.
However, Cowboys' coach Jason Garrett said that his team is not concerned about the standings at the moment, and wants to focus only on the game against Dolphins.
Dolphins did not have a good start to the season. They lost seven-straight games, but have done remarkably well to get back on the winning ways. Their comeback is appreciated and they are looking for stretching the winning streak.
To counter Cowboys, Dolphins are relying on quarterback Matt Moore who has played seven games this season and managed seven touchdowns and five interceptions while sending 119 successful passes of 187 attempts for 1,319 yards.
"He's a huge, huge difference-maker -- the reason we've been successful these past few games," Dolphin’s running back Reggie Bush said about Matt. "He’s just playing lights out. He's playing amazing. He's throwing great balls.
He's a leader. He's poised. He is everything you need."
With an average of 312.8 yards (200.5 passing yards and 112.3 rushing yards) per game, Dolphins too are eyeing their fourth straight victory to get up from the bottom of the American Football Conference East division ranking table.
