Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls; Teams that will threaten Dallas Mavericks next season (Part-1)

This year, the Dallas Mavericks had a phenomenal season and landed their first NBA Championship title after a stretched out chase. The Mavericks pushed all the right buttons at the right times and from the Western Conference semi-finals;
they gunned down three of the best teams in the league to accomplish their biggest dream.
Los Angeles Lakers became their first prey in the play-offs as the Mavericks didn’t leave any option for the two-time defending champions to surge for a three-peat. The youthful talent of the Oklahoma City Thunder was their second
victim. OKC failed to match the brilliance of the veteran Mavericks.
Dallas raced away into the NBA Finals to take on their rivals Miami Heat, the same team which thrashed their hopes for an NBA title back in 2006 at the same stage. The offensive threat that Heat inflicted on the opposition throughout
the play-offs failed to influence the determination and defensive power of the Mavericks, who won the Finals 4-2.
Under the exceptional guidance of the 51-year-old Rick Carlisle and the dominating game-play of the All-Star Dirk Nowitzki, the Mavericks turned into an unyielding power in the Finals.
"This is a true team. This is an old bunch. We don't run fast or jump high. These guys had each other's backs. We played the right way. We trusted the pass. This is a phenomenal thing for the city of Dallas." Carlisle said after
the Finals.
The biggest reasons that took Mavericks on the top were the unity they had and distinguished strategy on both ends of the court which hampered everyone that came in their way. Although Mavericks matchup with the best teams in this
year’s playoffs was a lop-sided one however things will be different in the next season as Miami will be preparing differently as well.
The teams that will be a big threat for Mavericks in the upcoming season are discussed below.
Chicago Bulls
After finishing with the top seed in the Eastern Conference, the Chicago Bulls were considered as the toughest contenders for the championship title. Accompanied with the impeccable talent of the All-Star Derrick Rose who was the
awarded as the Most Valuable player in the regular season, the Bulls absolutely dominated the opposition in the play-offs as they raced away to the Conference Finals to take on the spirited Miami Heat.
One big reason that hampered Chicago against the irresistible might of the big 3 LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh was the single-handed domination of the Bulls from their influential sharp-shooter Rose. It’s quite difficult
for any team to outshine the brilliance of invincible trio single-handedly.
The Bulls definitely will be looking forward to change the tradition and infuse some star power or boost the existing star power to provide a considerable support to Derrick. With the lesson learned this season, the Chicago will
strike back harder in the nest season to race away into the NBA Finals and clinch their first championship after the Michael Jordan era.
